Rules for this weapon
This weapon fires indirect mortar shells that deal 6d6 damage in a 10 m/yds by 10 m/yds area when they explode. It cannot be fired unless it is mounted. The mortar has a range of 1000 m/yds and cannot be fired at targets within 70 m/yds of itself. This weapon is fired indirectly, meaning that the mortar shell will explode on any obstacle on top of the intended target, potentially causing it to miss, regardless of the Skill Check to hit. It takes two Actions to reload this weapon. The mortar’s DV does not change based on range, instead changing based on the information available to the shooter. Single Shot DV is 30 without modifiers, 25 if the shooter has access to a map or 17 if the shooter was fed accurate information about their target through a Spotter. The reduced DV provided by the Spotter lasts until the information becomes inaccurate (such as if the intended target moves from the designated area). If the shot misses, the GM decides where in a 30 m/yds by 30 m/yds the mortar shell lands, instead dealing damage around that point. If a Spotter provided the Shooter with information, the GM instead decides where in a 15 m/yds by 15 m/yds the mortar shell lands.
